1.        Purpose
This portal provides access to official public records maintained by the Washoe County Recorder’s Office. Access is granted for lawful and personal use in accordance with Nevada law.

2.        User Accounts
•        Users must create an account to access digital records.
•        Accounts are personal and non-transferrable.
•        The Recorder’s Office reserves the right to verify user identity.

3.        Permitted Use
•        Users may obtain records for personal, civic, academic, or professional purposes.
•        Individual record requests are subject to statutory fees.
•        Information may not be altered, misrepresented, or falsely presented as an official government document outside its original form.

4.        Prohibited Use
Users agree not to:
•        Access or attempt to access the system using automated tools, bots, or scraping technology.
•        Use records as input or training data for artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) systems without written consent.
•        Mislead citizens by charging for unofficial or altered copies of records.

5.        Bulk Access & Licensing
•        Bulk downloads, systematic copying, or large-scale commercial use require prior approval and a separate licensing agreement.
•        Fees for bulk or commercial use are subject to terms of the Recorder’s Office.

6.        Privacy & Confidentiality
•        Certain information may be redacted in accordance with Nevada law.
•        Users may not attempt to reconstruct, or misuse redacted or protected information.

7.        Monitoring & Enforcement
•        The Recorder’s Office reserves the right to monitor usage for compliance.
•        Accounts found in violation of these Terms may be suspended or terminated.
•        Unauthorized use may result in civil or criminal penalties, including damages recovery.

8.        Disclaimer of Liability
The Recorder’s Office provides public records without warranties as to accuracy or legality. Submitters are responsible for verifying record accuracy upon submission to the Recorder’s Office.

9.        Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account and accessing this portal, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms of Use. Continued use of the system constitutes acceptance of any future updates to these Terms.
